Sometimes u wonder if someone is out to embarrass u, or simply embarrass herself. pardon me if i m gonna sound incoherent, coz i m trying not to sound mean or to mention any name.
imagine urself being greeted in the most unexpected way in a packed lift, of an office building, standing tall in the CBD area. the story begins... while i innocently stepped into the lift, cheerfully (since its lunch time =)… i heard a v familiar voice…
oh well, its normal since u wud usually hear this person b4 u see this person. and mind u - she has a loud n high-pitched voice. some very powerful diaphragm she must have. i was too shocked to catch if she called my name (that will just make things worse anw). but in any case her first greeting line goes: HEY! YOU HAVEN'T GOT SACKED YET?
erm, anybody watched mean girls before? oh sorry. i digressed.
back to the pt. FYI: the lift was packed with ppl coz its lunchtime. for that spilt second, i felt enveloped by the glares of the numerous pairs of eyes. i dun need that 10 seconds of fame. i derno if i shud feel embarassed or feel embarass for her. oh well. having to handle it graceful w/o making a scene, i left the lift saying, "i dun think they will sack efficient workers like me."
the rest of the conversation were just the 2 of us trying to spite each other. anw, k lar, i understand that sometimes its just by human nature that people say or do unappropriate things w/o putting much thots to the situation they r in - be it the surrounding people or place. sometimes the mouth just works faster than the brain. its just that the case seems more severe for some people. to put it bluntly, its called reckless.
but nvm, i'll take it as a harmless n unintentional move. the purpose of this blog entry is to serve as a reminder for myself (and of course for ppl who seriously need such a reminder) to do the thinking before the talking. =P
afterall, growing up is an endless learning journey. its an essential virtue to be able to reflect upon the actions of urself n others, and then eventually grow up, and proudly consider urself a matured adult. =)
