anw i stopped dead in my tracks. inclusive of the kinda brainless woman who was merely courting death n jeopardising others, everyone just stood there dumbfounded. den i saw this angmoh guy in his forties who walked onto the road to help the motorist get his bike up again n checked if he was okayy.
i was rather disappointed by the singaporeans actually. they lack the initiative to render a helping hand. so much for being a courteous n graceful society. it wasnt even as if the guy was seriously injured that u require proper first aid skills to help him - it was a gesture as easy as just helping him lift his bike up n asking "Are u ok?". it isnt too much to ask for rite?
but wad did we see? we saw the apathetic side of selfish singaporeans. wads their prob. where have the chivalry n moral instincts gone? ohhh.. have societal changes tarnished our moral values n devoured the kind souls in us?
if i were a guy, i wud haf stepped up to help as well. actually i was at a lost how to react. but the prompt move of that angmoh, somewhat made me feel some sort of guilt creeping up me n also nakedly showcased the ugly side of singaporeans.
singaporeans, pls reflect. if u think i haf falsely accused u, and that singaporeans r not as bad as i thot of them to be, i m glad that there r still some hope for singaporeans afterall.
