today was the first optional sch day for us, thou the GP paper was said to b compulsory lar... well apparently qte a few ppl pon. i did the paper w/o doing the summary, ie. i m qte screwed (but she din collect that part of the compre). essay was qte crappy... i did smth on poverty... and i wrote some amusing and mayb stupid stuff, which might really set the marker larfing like mad or really going mad due to my lack of knowledge. yeppp, so i shant maluate myself here. *nods*

ohh yar we went to watch tim burton's corpse bride .. which is really hilariously farnie and hopelessly corny... chao lame... all lamers shud go watch this, i bet u'll enjoy it lor! highly recommended... personal ratings: 4/5 (which is qte high!=) besides the storyline is qte sweet oso... like awww...

that aside... when i got home, my superstitious mum was qte annoyed and disturbed by the fact that i hung the corpse bride coffin accessory on my handphone... esp it was transparent on top with a skeleton in it.. she seemed qte pissed.. but i guess its okayy lar... its qte cute... why bother to take it down? taking it down wud merely imply that i actually believe in that unfounded superstition that is attached to the coffin thingey...

oh anw jus a side note for jacq: paiseh by the time i got ur msg to watch corpse bride tgt, i alr bot the tickets for the half-an-hour-later show... and it was my fren's bday la... so watch smth else another time la... kk? dun be angry hor...

the cafe cartel shitake pasta after the movie was great as usual, but my stomach was malfunctioning today.. so even thou i ate only half, i felt kind bloated. symptoms of indigestion. hmmm... sad arh... btw, derno why the waiters and waitress at the counter so high when promoting their cakes n drinks.. but i din get any in the end.. abit broke lar... and qte full oso... hmmm...

oh how can i forget to include this detail... met mathew (thou i still calls him dik hin) and han today... we were damn noisy at the coffeebean on the second level, but heck la... it was mainly the two in grey uniforms n not me nor wz... lolx!~ *tries to siam from being whacked* we keep suanning n shoo-ting each other... wahahaha.. and crack stupid jokes... and say non-ill-intentioned discriminating stuff that aren't allowed to b published.

jus take a look at today's ST report on the benjamin koh and nicholas lim blogging case lar... who dares to say anything now? gosh.. everything is restricted and prohibited by law... damn sian diao... the freedom of speech vs the delicate fabric of our multi-cultural society... with the openess of society, can we not even tolerate this little freedom of speech? is the consequences really that grave? its common among frens of varying races/religions to jack each other and larf it off... so why cant we take a more liberal approach to this kinda blogging issue? it cant be serious rite? i just dont understand... is limited freedom of expression still freedom of expression?

the current trend is that more bloggers are somehow trying to speak/blog in politically correct terms. (some even resorted to putting disclaimers, which i find ineffective anw, it seems that they can somehow still find some law and tell you u've commited some offence under that act.) its getting in a certain way fake. people are beginning to NOT speak their mind, making blogging qte a pointless thing... i mean politically correct stuff shud be encouraged, but is this really wad the author meant to express? probably not... consider this other case: wad if someone tries to get abt the law, by insinuating something bad/wrong/discriminating, but phrasing it in a politically correct fashion. wad can u do to him or her?

As long as wadeva said or published has no significant impact on creating potential social unrest, perhaps we should just close an eye to it... clamming down on these bloggers no doubt does reflect our emphasis on importance of racial / religious harmony, however, at the same time it exposes the undeniable fact of our society low tolerance and liberalisation... u still call this a freedom? i beg to differ...
