i stayed back for the smu talk today, tgt with cally, jireh n cc. As usual, they dished out the best stuff to entice us. haha. but seriously, i m qte tempted. i know i'll probably not b able to go overseas w/o a scholarship, and that i m not confident of securing a scholarship at all. plus, i din take sat, so the US universities are mostly out. Anw, i was considering more of entering local universities, which is limited to nus, ntu n smu only. i was thinking of taking up business management (a double degree if possible), which kinda leaves me 2 choices - nus n smu. No matter how much smu may seem attractive for me, i believe that theres a general preference of nus to smu. Afterall, smu is less established n reputable in comparision. Nevertheless, we have to acknowledge that smu probably gives a better future prospects, given their approach to teaching n learning. well.. the thing is that smu has the links that probably get u better job attachment and help u gain more exposure, which builds up ur network n and help pave ur way for ur future career. These are the plus pts that smu offers over other local universities, in my opinion. for the time being, i'll keep this at the back of my mind first... i'll just see how when i have to make the final decision. Ohhh, if they decide to offer me a scholarship, i might just take it up, but dream on... haha...
